Michele Synegal \n\n\n\nThis event is sponsored by Unity Worldwide Ministries Eastern Region. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAt our Fall 2024 Conference we shared a viewing and discussion of the movie “Traces of the Trade.” Participants asked for more time to process where we stand in our DEI journey and also a larger diversity of offerings. As our next steps from our Fall Conference\, the Unity Eastern Region is committed to offering more DEI growth opportunities and this session is the beginning of that journey. We will spend time exploring where we are in our process of being more inclusive\, where we have come from since 2024 and where we are going from here. We will do some assessment of our current state of DEI and next steps. This is the first in a series of at least three offerings of DEI trainings and qualifies for the required Diversity and Inclusivity CEU for credentialed leaders. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Facilitator\n\n\n\nRev. Michele K. Synegal \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRev. Michele is the Senior Minister at the Temple of Light Center for Spiritual Living (CSL) in Kingston\, Jamaica. Ordained in 20012\, she served as senior Minister at Spiritual Empowerment Center\, Baltimore\, MD for ten years (2006-2016). She is serving a third term on the CSL Ministers’ Council (2024-2027). \n\n\n\nMichele completed four years as the Chair of CSL’s Diversity Inclusion Commission ending her term in 2020. Her greatest accomplishment while there was introducing monthly webinars on full-spectrum diversity\, equity\, justice\, and inclusion issues. She continues her social justice ministry through her company\, Management Dynamics\, Inc.\, an award-winning JEDI (justice\, equity\, diversity\, and inclusion) consulting firm bringing light to the world for over 40 years. \n\n\n\nShe is the published author of two inspirational books Inspiration in Small Doses and Widows Speak: A Guide to Healing\, Living and Thriving After the Loss of a Loved One. \n\n\n\nShe has been a regular speaker at CSL Laurel\, Further Aglow Center for Spiritual Awareness\, Florida\, Center for Spiritual Living Greater Baltimore\, Unity of Baltimore\, and Unity Center of Light\, Bowie\, MD. for many years. She has also been a Unity Eastern Region conference presenter. \n\n\n\nMinistry is a challenging labor of love\, and credentialed leaders need to be valued\, appreciated and supported.
