Once Upon a Time, early generations wove stories of folktales, legends, and moral lessons to preserve their culture and family history. These narratives served as guides for understanding the past and shaping the future, fostering belonging and emotional bonds between storyteller and listener.
You are your stories. They shape how you see yourself and your place in the world. The stories you choose to share play a crucial role in teaching youth the wisdom of the past and influencing their future.
Join us for an enlightening session as we explore the impact of stories—yours and those of others—and how they shape listeners’ futures.
Janell Renshaw, LUT
After graduating from high school, Janelle Renshaw embarked on an adventurous journey across the United States for 6 years, ultimately finding her home in Orlando, Florida, in 1993. She joined Christ Church Unity in 2008, a pivotal moment in her spiritual path. Janell became a Licensed Unity Teacher in 2012 and has taught SEE classes to many of the Ministers and Licensed Unity Teachers of today’s Unity movement. She has dedicated the last 16 years as a Youth of Unity Sponsor and has served as the Unity Eastern Region Youth Consultant since 2019. She also serves as the Unity Eastern Regions Licensed Unity Teacher Consultant.
As an enthusiastic and revolutionary leader, she considers it a profound honor to share Unity Principles and guide adults and youth on their journeys toward peace, guidance, and meaningful choices. She teaches adult classes that delve into meditation, metaphysics, and other various exploration subjects.
Through her deepening connection to yoga, thousands of hours invested in personal meditation, and study at Amrit Yoga Institute under Kamini Desai and Guru Amrit Desai, she became a certified Yoga Teacher and advanced yoga nidra facilitator. During this transformative time, she received the spiritual name “Sachi,” symbolizing “I Am” or pure consciousness.
Janell serves as a beacon of love and wisdom for those on their spiritual journeys.
