Vibrant, authentic and full of joy, Claudia Carawan is an award-winning singer/songwriter, recording artist and performer whose music runs deep. Her powerful voice and her heartfelt original songs have been described as positively soulful.
Claudia’s mission as a performing artist is to touch hearts and empower audiences by sharing inspiring music. She believes positive music is transformative music.
She has joyfully served Unity Church of Bon Air in Richmond, Virginia as a music director for 30+ years. In addition to her “Sunday morning work” she also performs on big stages and at small venues, retirement centers, women’s retreats, jazz clubs, private parties and everywhere in between.

Work with At-Risk Teens
When not on stage, Carawan works as a music teacher for a residential healing center that serves “at risk” teens. In this capacity she has mentored hundreds of teenagers to discover and develop their individual gifts and creative abilities. Claudia loves working with the hip hop generation and they have inspired her too.
